Whether we like it or not, Flu Season is upon us.
I'm sure most of you know, that
the flu vaccine marketing propaganda is enough to about send me over the edge. Rather than focusing on the joys of this glorious fall season, Big Pharma touts signs and billboards every where you look to scare society into signing up for the Flu Vaccine.
If fear isn't your forte, they will reward you with cash back, gift cards and all sorts of incentives to inject their poison.
Well guess what? We are now seeing the same propaganda on the veterinary side.
It has come to our attention that some local veterinarians are now giving this toxic flu vaccine to pups as young as 6 weeks of age as part of their vaccine protocol! This is NOT ok! The Flu is not a life threatening disease!
Furthermore, the vaccine contains harmful ingredients like mercury, formaldehyde, propylene glycol, just to name a few. The injectable form of the vaccine is an attenuated or weakened virus, most recipients report flu symptoms. The intransal vaccine, Flu Mist, is a live virus. This means when a person gets vaccinated, they actually shed the virus! Yes, you heard me, THEY SPREAD the
virus!
So how can we strengthen both our health and our pets health to prevent this unwanted guest?
We must be proactive, rather than reactive. We must prepare our bodies for health so it can combat any invader it faces!
We must take care of the colon, his health
directly affects the health of the lungs.
- The colon is the detox organ of the lungs, so if he's congested or inflamed, then the lungs will be more susceptible to pathogenic invaders
- 70% of the immune system resides within the intestinal tract, if the colon is inflamed or congested, the immune system will not be functioning
optimally.
How do we prevent inflammation and congestion of the colon?
- Autumnal Detox - it is important to detox in the spring and fall - this will help rid your pet's body of residues from the flea/tick/heartworm preventatives given during the summer months
- Feed a proper diet -Fresh is best,
feeding for the seasons is even better but most importantly reducing carbohydrates, sugars, GMOs and preservatives. (We will address more on this subject in our next email)
- Nourish a healthy gut lining with prebiotics and probiotics - this month we are featuring Arabinex. This is a highly branched polysaccharide that is harvested from the Western Larch. It is an excellent source of butyric acid which provides fuel for colon
cells.
- Incorporate digestive enzymes - proper digestion of foods will reduce lower colonic inflammation
- Support the immune system with Colostrum, Transfer Factor or other immune modulators like medicinal mushrooms, vitamin D, C
- Avoid antibiotics as they destroy the healthy gut flora
- Limit the use of
chemicals now that we are moving out of flea and mosquito season
