A new solution for chronic problems

As a pet parent in today’s world, I’m sure most of you have been hearing about “CBD or Hemp” oil. This oil is beneficial for many conditions including:

• Arthritis
• Cancer
• Skin Conditions
• Gastrointestinal disorders
• Neurological conditions
• Aggression
• Appetite Stimulant

Since there is so much confusion surrounding this topic, I put together a little information that will hopefully shed some light on the subject.

• Hemp oil is derived from the Hemp plant. This plant belongs to the genus Cannabis sativa. This is the same genus of origin as Marijuana. However, it is NOT the same plant. Hemp and Marijuana both contain two major cannabinoids, THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol).
• The main difference between Marijuana and Hemp is that Hemp contains very low levels of THC usually less than 0.3% while Marijuana contains high levels of THC usually between 15-20%.

2) What’s so exciting about cannabinoids?

• There has been much research over the past 10 years regarding the many different cannabinoids in the Hemp and Marijuana plants and the body’s own cannabinoid receptors.
• These cannabinoid receptors are found primarily in the brain and central nervous system but they're also found in the body’s immune cells. This system is called the endocannabinoid system.
• Studies have shown that many cannabinoids have anti-inflammatory effects and can help with conditions such as pain, seizures/epilepsy, skin conditions, cancer, anxiety and neurological disorders.

3) Is CBD/ Hemp oil legal?

• Yes. CBD oil that is derived from the mature stalks or seeds from hemp, is federally legal in the United States.

4) Is it safe?

• Yes. Drowsiness may be a side effect but they most often adjust. However, it is important to know the quality of the hemp oil, especially since the market is saturated with new companies competing for the market.

5) Which product do we recommend?

• We recommend Rx Vitamins Hemp Oil. Currently, this product can only be bought with a veterinary medical license and it is formulated by a company that we trust and have used for many years.
