Is your pet over-vaccinated or under-vaccinated?

Dear Pet Parent,

It’s that time of year again.

Spring is in the air and new life is bursting forth all around us. Trees and shrubs are blooming, woodland creatures are emerging from their winter shelters and dog and kitty parents all across the southeast are getting postcards and emails to schedule their annual vaccine boosters.

But what most pet parents aren’t aware of is:
ANNUAL VACCINATIONS ARE NOT SAFE!

What’s the big deal?:
Vaccines were originally developed  to save a compromised immune system from a deadly disease. Now, vaccines are given out like candy, without anyone giving a thought to the potent viruses and chemicals contained within each injection.

In fact, little thought is given to the mode of administration, injection.

These vaccines are injected “unnaturally” under the skin where they are carried to the lymph and bone marrow by the blood vessels.

In TCVM, this is called the “XUE” level. This injection of five or sometimes seven vaccines at once into the xue level causes extreme heat in the body and overwhelms both the liver and the immune system.
In the natural world, viruses would not enter through the xue level but rather  through the nose or the mouth.

Dangerous side effects:
Repeat vaccinations over stimulate the body’s natural immune system. This overstimulation can result in one or  two types of hypersensitivity reactions.

The first reaction happens right in front of the natural eye:
Primary hypersensitivity reaction – this is the body’s immediate response to this unnatural injection of multiple invaders. Anaphylaxis, vomiting, acute collapse, seizures and/or death occurs with this reaction. This is the least common.

The second type of reaction happens below the surface. It is a cumulative response over time.
Secondary or delayed hypersensitivity reaction – this is the body’s response to repeat immune stimulation. This can occur over 4-8 weeks post vaccination or 1-5 years. This is the reaction we see most often:
  • Skin allergies, chronic ear infections, food allergies and inflammatory bowel disease
  • Inflammation of the joints and tendons resulting in arthritis and/or tendon/ligament injuries
  • Behavioral changes, depression and agression
  • Autoimmune conditions such as Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia and Thrombocytopenia, Pemphigus, Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Cancer of all types
YES, CANCER:
The Morris Animal Foundation put together an Animal Health Survey in 1997. They published their results in 1998, showing that the leading cause of death in canines was cancer. It comprised  47% of deaths. Cancer arises in a body with a compromised immune system.

Dangerous chemicals and additives:
Vaccines contain adjuvants and carriers like egg yolk, mercury (thimerosal), aluminum, formaldehyde, acetone, bovine

Understanding duration of immunity:
Dr. Schultz has been doing ample work to show that vaccine immunity lasts for most of a pet’s lifetime with a minimum protection of 5-7 years.

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) revised the vaccine guidelines in 2011 to reflect studies that have shown increased duration of immunity from vaccines. The guidelines recommend vaccinating every 3 years, NOT yearly and/or monitoring with serologic vaccine titers

Solution:
We offer “in house”  vaccine titers for a cost effective way to monitor your pet’s immunity. With titer testing, a small blood sample is taken to  measure your pet’s antibody levels. The findings determine the strength of immunity your pet has against the core viruses, distemper, parvo and hepatitis. You are then given a report card indicating your pet’s level of immunity. This report card serves as proof for your boarding/day care facility or groomer,  that your pet is “up to date” on his/her vaccinations.

Let's make this change together! Please share this information with family and friends.
We will be offering some  vaccine titer clinics this spring and summer to make this option more available for the pets of the Birmingham area.

What should you do next?
  1. Mention this email the next time you are in the office and put the power of vaccine titers to work for the health of your pet.
  2. Visit our vaccine titers webpage today to learn more about improving your pet's health.
